Metro Retro is a family business in Jacksonville Florida, devoted to doing some good, building great community, and helping our clients achieve their financial goals. Our family has been in Jacksonville for 5 generations. We use our expertise in the local real estate market, redevelopment and affordable housing to create value for our clients. We live, work and play in north Florida, deal fairly with all, maintain superior market knowledge, and forge long-term relationships within the community.
We believe by investing in Jacksonville neighborhoods, we can improve the entire community one property at a time. We focus on the disposition of estate assets and redevelopment of residential and commercial properties.
Lynn, Founder and CEO/Community Engagement Officer
Lynn participates in and teaches at several area home school co-ops. She teaches Art History and Greek Mythology among various art classes. She ensures that each project we develop at Metro Retro aligns with our mission statement.
Lynn started this business as an estate sale/vintage market business that has evolved into a full scale estate disposition and value added redevelopment company. Pretty amazing journey so far.
Bill, Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management
Bill is a Professional Engineer and Licensed RE Broker, and is responsible for the entire acquisition, asset management and disposition process to ensure projects meet clients financial goals. He serves as the Affordable Housing & Revitalization Chair for Urban Land Institute North Florida Council, a Task Force that works directly with community leaders throughout North Florida on workforce and affordable housing as a critical component of neighborhood revitalization.
Bill has spent his career developing and implementing cost effective infrastructure and real estate solutions for clients in both the private and public sectors. His 30 plus years of experience includes a broad spectrum of developments that achieved entitlement, design, permitting and construction of industrial complexes, free standing retail, master planned communities, hotels and resorts, shopping centers, institutional facilities, mixed use developments, and storm water master plans. He’s represented clients in land planning and entitlements, provided expert witness testimony as both a land planner and civil engineer, and
consulted in cases involving eminent domain.
Bill has managed project teams for small, medium and large multi-disciplined firms, acting as section manager, senior project manager and branch manager before establishing Metro Retro as a Real Estate firm in 2017. He has delivered projects in three states (Florida, North Carolina and Hawaii), including design-build delivery for the Military totaling $15 million dollars in construction and achieving LEED Gold certification. His consulting practice received the Historic Hawaii Preservation Honor Award for Historic Preservation and Adaptive Reuse at Schofield Barracks Multi Purpose Field Redevelopment.
As Director of Development and Construction for one of the largest commercial developer/builders in north Florida from 2004 to 2007, Bill successfully managed the development and construction of 1.1 million square feet of industrial facilities, 350,000 square feet of retail shopping centers and 45,000 square feet of Class A office space.
Bill served on the Board of Metro North CDC, a non-profit affordable housing developer as the Board Secretary and Real Estate Chair from 2011-2014.
He is a graduate of the inaugural St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2000, and has been a professional engineer in Florida since 1990, and Licensed Real Estate Broker since 2017.
In addition to his work, he enjoys coaching and teaching Elementary Engineering for local home school co-operatives.
Liam, Asset Manager in Training (and train loving boy!)
Liam shadows Mom and Dad and helps on redevelopment projects with prep and clean up, and driving for dollars with dad. He also does some minor drywall repair and painting (for now).
Metro Retro supports Community Hospice & Palliative Care, Seamark Boys Ranch, Ability Housing, and several home school co-operatives.
